Step-by-Step Instructions
Get Character Rigs
You may use any free character rig or environment assets available online. We recommend these options:
The Story You Need to Animate
Animate "The Mysterious Gift": A character walks through a room, spots a mysterious gift box on a table, approaches cautiously, opens it, and panics/runs away. Keep the contents of the box hidden from the audience!
Duration & Pacing
Your finished sequence should be between 15–20 seconds in length. Keep the acting expressive and control the pacing of the curiosity and panic.
Camera Work
Set up your own camera angles and shot composition in Blender. The camera resolution must be set to 1080x1920 (Vertical / 9:16 aspect ratio). Use camera movement to make the viewer curious about the mystery and feel the character's emotion.
3D Playblast (No Lighting)
Do not spend time on lighting or rendering. We only require a 3D Playblast (Viewport Render) of the animation, so we can judge the core animation motion.
Premiere Pro Editing
Import your playblast sequence into Adobe Premiere Pro. Perform basic editing, add royalty-free sound effects, and choose matching background music to complete the video.
Submit Assignment
Export your final video and upload all project files to a Google Drive link, then submit it to our team on WhatsApp.

Camera Work & Composition
Cinematography, camera positioning, framing, and dynamic movement in a vertical 1080x1920 format that enhance the storytelling.
Storytelling, Editing & Audio
Overall pacing, editing flow in Premiere Pro, sound design integration, and creative delivery of the mystery.
